Every year the students of the Academies of Architecture of Arnhem and Amsterdam are confronted with a different location and material to work in their workshop weekend. In 2006 IJburg, an area where new houses were to be build, was a big Island of sand. Looking these experiments with sand and it's structure the images lost their sense of scale. It was this aspect that lead to presenting each page/project on 3 different scales .
